Follow this quick guide to set up your DeepSeek API key for AI Book Writer
DeepSeek integration is optional but provides an alternative AI model option for your book writing. Using DeepSeek alongside OpenAI gives you flexibility to choose different AI models for various writing styles and content types.
Visit deepseek.ai/signup and create your account. You can register with your email or continue with Google account. Complete the verification process by clicking the link sent to your email.
DeepSeek requires you to add funds to your account in order to generate text via API. Navigate to the ‘Top up’ section and add credit to your account. The minimum deposit is typically $2, and you can use credit card or PayPal for payment.
After adding funds, navigate to your dashboard and select ‘API Management’ from the menu. This section contains all your API information and settings.
Important: Store your DeepSeek API key in a secure location. Never share it with anyone. For security, you can regenerate your key at any time if needed.
