About me
I’m Robert, and I’ve been building digital products for almost 20 years, most of that time for smartphones. Today I’m the Product Owner for search at empiriecom, where a lot of my work revolves around artificial intelligence. My job is to turn user problems, data and business goals into a product that works, and to give the team room to build it well.
I started out with apps, themes and app store listings, and later moved into project management, Scrum and team leadership. On the side I still build products of my own: themes and watch faces for HUAWEI, Honor, Samsung and Google Play, apps for iOS and Android, and desktop software powered by AI. In 2021 HUAWEI gave me its Editor’s Choice Award as “Cross-Device Innovator”.
I work independently and analytically, stay flexible when plans change, and rely on clear communication in a team. I enjoy problems most when there is no ready-made answer yet.
